Les forts anciens de la position fortifiée de Liège sont au nombre de douze. Ils ont été bâtis entre 1888 et 1892 pour la Première Guerre mondiale. Huit de ces forts furent réarmés pour la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Trois furent convertis en dépôt de munitions. Un était détruit. Die alten Forts der befestigten Stellung von Lüttich sind zwölf an der Zahl. Sie wurden zwischen 1888 und 1892 für den Ersten Weltkrieg erbaut.
