Fortifications belges de la deuxième guerre mondiale, position fortifiée de Liège, première ligne de résistance, abri de l'intervalle Margarins-Neufchâteau. MN 17 se situe à droite de la route menant à Saint-Jean-Sart à l’entrée basse du village. Il couvrait la route venant d’Aubel ainsi que la rive droite du ruisseau La Bel. Cet ouvrage a une entrée en cave particulière, il possède une galerie d’accès avec deux volées de marches à la base desquelles la grille récoltant les eaux est toujours présente. L’embrasure est murée et en partie comblée par de la terre. L’extérieur est en bon état. L’entrée de l’ouvrage est accessible. L’intérieur est en bon état et complet. Affût FRC. Une goulotte lance-grenades, sans clapet, défendait l’entrée. Il a toujours quelques poteaux de clôture avec l’emplacement de la petite barrière d’accès à l'emprise militaire ainsi que sa haie vive. © Francis Pluymers

Belgische Festungen aus dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, verstärkte Stellung Lüttich, erste Widerstandslinie, Unterstand des Intervalls Margarins-Neufchâteau. MN 17 befindet sich rechts der Straße, die nach Saint-Jean-Sart führt, am unteren Dorfeingang. Er deckte die von Aubel kommende Straße sowie das rechte Ufer des Baches La Bel ab. Dieses Bauwerk hat einen besonderen Kellereingang, es besitzt einen Zugangsgang mit zwei Treppenläufen, an deren Basis der wassersammelnde Rost noch vorhanden ist. Die Schießscharte ist vermauert und teilweise mit Erde verfüllt. Der Außenzustand ist gut. Der Zugang zum Bauwerk ist möglich. Das Innere ist in gutem Zustand und vollständig. FRC-Lafette. Ein Granatwurfkanal ohne Klappe verteidigte den Eingang. Es hat noch einige Zaunpfähle mit dem Standort des kleinen Gittertors zum Zugang zum militärischen Gelände sowie seine lebende Hecke. © Francis Pluymers

Belgische fortificaties uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, versterkte stelling Luik, eerste weerstandslijn, schuilkelder van het interval Margarins-Neufchâteau. MN 17 bevindt zich rechts van de weg die naar Saint-Jean-Sart leidt, aan de benedenkant van het dorp. Hij dekte de weg komende van Aubel evenals de rechteroever van de beek La Bel af. Dit werk heeft een bijzondere kelderingang, het bezit een toegangsgalerij met twee trapporties aan wier voet het rooster dat het water opvangt nog aanwezig is. Het schietgat is dichtgemetseld en deels opgevuld met aarde. De buitenstaat is goed. De toegang tot het werk is mogelijk. Het interieur is in goede staat en compleet. FRC-affuit. Een granaatwerpgoot zonder klep verdedigde de ingang. Het heeft nog enkele afrasteringspalen met de plaats van het kleine toegangshekje tot het militaire terrein evenals zijn levende haag. © Francis Pluymers

Belgian fortifications from the Second World War, fortified position of Liège, first line of resistance, shelter of the Margarins-Neufchâteau interval. MN 17 is located on the right of the road leading to Saint-Jean-Sart at the lower entrance to the village. It covered the road coming from Aubel as well as the right bank of the stream La Bel. This structure has a particular cellar entrance, it has an access gallery with two flights of stairs at the base of which the water-collecting grid is still present. The embrasure is walled up and partly filled with earth. The exterior is in good condition. Access to the structure is possible. The interior is in good condition and complete. FRC mount. A grenade launching chute, without a flap, defended the entrance. It still has some fence posts with the location of the small grid gate for access to the military compound as well as its living hedge. © Francis Pluymers

Belgické opevnění z druhé světové války, opevněná pozice Lutych, první linie odporu, bunkr intervalu Margarins-Neufchâteau. MN 17 se nachází vpravo od silnice vedoucí do Saint-Jean-Sart u spodního vstupu do vesnice. Krýl silnici přicházející od Aubel i pravý břeh potoka La Bel. Tento objekt má zvláštní vstup do sklepa, má přístupovou chodbu se dvěma rameny schodů, na jejichž základně je stále přítomna mřížka zachycující vodu. Střílna je zazděna a částečně zanesena zeminou. Exteriér je v dobrém stavu. Přístup k objektu je možný. Interiér je v dobrém stavu a kompletní. Lafeta FRC. Žlab pro vrhač granátů bez klapky bránil vstupu. Stále má několik plotových sloupků s umístěním malé mřížové branky pro přístup do vojenského prostoru a také svůj živý plot. © Francis Pluymers
