Un avis rendu le 25 mai 1892 par la Commission d'Etudes pour la Défense du Littoral prévoit la construction d'une batterie de 4 x 24 c sur les hauteurs à mi-distance entre Mengant et Dellec. En 1897, on construit à proximité de l'endroit pressenti le poste de tir de la batterie basse du ravin de Dellec. Le 18 février 1899, il est décidé de surseoir à la construction de la batterie de 4 x 24 c modèle 1870-87 sur affûts mle 1888 P.C. L'abandon définit de ce projet a été entériné le 17 avril 1902.

Mai 1892 sah den Bau einer 4 x 24 c-Batterie auf den Höhen auf halbem Weg zwischen Mengant und Dellec vor. 1897 wurde der Feuerpunkt der unteren Batterie der Dellec-Schlucht in der Nähe des geplanten Standorts errichtet. Am 18. Februar 1899 wurde beschlossen, den Bau der 4 x 24 c-Batterie Modell 1870-87 auf Lafetten mle 1888 P.C. zu verschieben. Die endgültige Aufgabe dieses Projekts wurde am 17. April 1902 ratifiziert.

Stanovisko vydané 25. května 1892 Komisí pro studie obrany pobřeží počítalo s výstavbou baterie 4 x 24 děl na vyvýšeninách v polovině cesty mezi Mengantem a Dellecem. V roce 1897 byl poblíž plánovaného místa vybudován palebný bod spodní baterie rokle Dellec. Dne 18. února 1899 bylo rozhodnuto o odložení výstavby baterie 4 x 24 děl vzor 1870-87 na lafetách mle 1888 P.C. Definitivní upuštění od tohoto projektu bylo ratifikováno 17. dubna 1902.
