Position Fortifiée de Liège, deuxième ligne de résistance, intervalle PFL2 Barchon-Meuse, abri BM 5 Petoumont, 149 m/alt. L'abri d'intervalle BM 5 se trouve juste en face de la rue Petoumont à l'arrière d'une propriété privée, sur la commune de Cheratte, dont les occupants ont composé de leur mieux entre la végétation et le béton. L'abri n'est pas utilisé, semble dans un état correct et se trouve doté des restes d'un toit pentu comme son voisin l'abri BM 4. On n'y trouve pas de poteaux en béton de clôture ou de bornes DN (Défense nationale), ni la grille d'entrée P1 ou la porte P2. On voit juste que le sas d'entrée est défendu par un créneau pour un fusil ou un fusil-mitrailleur.

Der Intervallunterstand BM 5 befindet sich direkt gegenüber der Rue Petoumont, hinter einem Privatgrundstück in der Gemeinde Cheratte, dessen Bewohner so gut es ging einen Kompromiss zwischen Vegetation und Beton gefunden haben. Der Unterstand wird nicht genutzt, scheint in ordentlichem Zustand zu sein und ist mit den Überresten eines Satteldachs versehen wie sein Nachbar, der Unterstand BM 4. Es finden sich weder Betonzaunpfähle noch DN-Grenzsteine (Landesverteidigung), noch das P1-Eingangsgitter oder die P2-Tür. Man sieht lediglich, dass die Eingangsschleuse durch eine Schießscharte für ein Gewehr oder leichtes Maschinengewehr verteidigt wird.
Versterkte Stelling Luik, tweede weerstandslijn, interval VSL2 Barchon-Maas, schuilkelder BM 5 Petoumont, 149 m/TAW. De intervalschuilkelder BM 5 bevindt zich net tegenover de rue Petoumont, achteraan op een privéterrein in de gemeente Cheratte, waarvan de bewoners zo goed mogelijk een compromis hebben gevonden tussen vegetatie en beton. De schuilkelder wordt niet gebruikt, lijkt in een correcte staat te verkeren en is voorzien van de resten van een schuin dak zoals zijn buur, de schuilkelder BM 4. Men vindt er geen betonnen omheiningspalen of DN-grenspalen (Landsverdediging), noch het P1-toegangshek of de P2-deur. Men ziet enkel dat de toegangssluis verdedigd wordt door een schietgat voor een geweer of een lichte mitrailleur.

Interval shelter BM 5 is located just opposite Rue Petoumont at the back of a private property in the municipality of Cheratte, whose occupants have compromised as best they could between vegetation and concrete. The shelter is not used, seems in acceptable condition and is provided with the remains of a pitched roof like its neighbor, shelter BM 4. There are no concrete fence posts or DN boundary markers (National Defense), nor the P1 entrance gate or the P2 door. One can only see that the entrance airlock is defended by an embrasure for a rifle or light machine gun.
Opevněná pozice Lutych, druhá obranná linie, interval OPL2 Barchon-Mása, pěchotní srub BM 5 Petoumont, 149 m/n. m. Intervalový pěchotní srub BM 5 se nachází přímo naproti ulici Rue Petoumont, vzadu na soukromém pozemku v obci Cheratte, jehož obyvatelé našli co nejlepší kompromis mezi vegetací a betonem. Srub není využíván, zdá se být v ucházejícím stavu a je opatřen zbytky šikmé střechy jako jeho soused, pěchotní srub BM 4. Nenacházejí se zde žádné betonové sloupky plotu ani hraniční kameny DN (Národní obrana), ani vstupní mříž P1 nebo dveře P2. Je vidět jen, že vstupní přechodová komora je bráněna střílnou pro pušku nebo lehký kulomet.
