Fortifications belges de la deuxième guerre mondiale, position fortifiée de Liège, première ligne de résistance, abri de l'intervalle Margarins-Neufchâteau. MN 23 se situe à l'extrémité est du bois de la Canelle. Il couvre la zone entre la N° 608 et l'abri MN 22 avec lequel il croise son tir. L'embrasure est murée, celle-ci avait un volet pivotant. L'extérieur est en bon état. L'intérieur est en bon état et complet. L'accès est difficile, l'ouverture est petite et assez haute. Affût FRC, le volet de protection est toujours en place. Une goulotte lance-grenades, sans son clapet de fermeture, défendait l'entrée. L'autre, avec son clapet de fermeture, défendait le flanc droit. Le crochet L1 pour suspendre la lampe Coleman est encore en place.

Die andere, mit ihrem Verschlussdeckel, verteidigte die rechte Flanke. Der Haken L1 zum Aufhängen der Coleman-Lampe ist noch vorhanden.

Druhý, se svou uzavírací klapkou, bránil pravý bok. Hák L1 pro zavěšení Colemanovy lampy je stále na svém místě.
