Fortifications belges de la deuxième guerre mondiale, position fortifiée de Liège, première ligne de résistance, intervalle Vesdre-Manaihant. VM3 est un des observatoires au nord du fort de Tancrémont. Il surveillait la vallée du Grand Ri et les hauteurs de Wegnez. Il a toujours une partie de ses piquets de clôture. L’entrée est murée et rebouchée. Le seul accès est par l’emplacement de la cloche qui aurait été prise par les Allemands pour la mettre sur le mur de l'Atlantique ou pour en faire des obus. L’intérieur est en bon état. Les consoles, crochets L2 et L3 sont toujours là. L’embrasure de tir a été murée pour en faire une goulotte lance-grenades. L’endroit étant éloigné des grands axes routiers, VM 3 renseignait le fort par des agents de liaison parcourant le pays. Le premier contact avec l’ennemi a lieu le 24 mai. Ceux-ci approchent de la porte, ils sont repoussés à la grenade et aux tirs de mortier du fort. Étant encerclé et les communications coupées, la garnison a capitulé.

Es überwachte das Tal des Grand Ri und die Höhen von Wegnez. Es hat noch einen Teil seiner Zaunpfähle. Der Eingang ist vermauert und verfüllt. Der einzige Zugang erfolgt über den Standort der Beobachtungsglocke, die von den Deutschen genommen worden sein soll, um sie im Atlantikwall zu verbauen oder für Geschosse zu verwenden. Das Innere ist in gutem Zustand. Die Konsolen, Haken L2 und L3 sind noch vorhanden. Die Schießscharte wurde vermauert, um einen Granatwurfschacht daraus zu machen. Da der Ort abseits der Hauptverkehrswege liegt, meldete VM 3 dem Fort über Verbindungsleute, die das Gelände durchquerten. Der erste Feindkontakt fand am 24. Mai statt. Diese näherten sich dem Tor, wurden aber durch Granaten und Mörserfeuer des Forts zurückgeschlagen. Da es eingekreist war und die Kommunikation unterbrochen war, kapitulierte die Besatzung.

Belgické opevnění z druhé světové války, opevněná pozice Lutych, první linie odporu, interval Vesdre-Manaihant. VM3 je jedna z pozorovatelen severně od fortu Tancrémont. Sledovala údolí Grand Ri a výšiny u Wegnez. Stále má část svých plotových kůlů. Vchod je zazděný a zahrnutý. Jediný přístup je přes místo pozorovacího zvonu, který prý byl odebrán Němci, aby jej umístili na Atlantický val nebo z něj vyrobili střely. Vnitřek je v dobrém stavu. Konzoly, háky L2 a L3 jsou stále na místě. Střílna byla zazděna, aby z ní byl vytvořen granátový výmet. Protože je místo vzdálené od hlavních dopravních tepen, VM 3 podávala fortu hlášení prostřednictvím spojovacích důstojníků procházejících krajem. První kontakt s nepřítelem proběhl 24. května. Přiblížili se ke vchodu, ale byli odraženi granáty a minometnou palbou z fortu. Obklíčena a s přerušeným spojením posádka kapitulovala.
