Place de Longwy. 398 m/alt. Ouvrage détaché de la citadelle, 350 m au nord-ouest du bastion 4. Il s’agissait d’une redoute terrassée, ouverte sur ses arrières, à ériger à la mobilisation (il fut terminé le 17 août 1914) face au menaçant bois de Chadelle. Voir Longwy.

Festung Longwy. 398 m ü. M. Freistehendes Bauwerk der Zitadelle, 350 m nordwestlich von Bastion 4. Es handelte sich um eine nach hinten offene Schanze aus aufgeschüttetem Erdreich, die bei der Mobilmachung errichtet werden sollte (Fertigstellung am 17. August 1914) und dem bedrohlichen Chadelle-Wald zugewandt war. Siehe Longwy.

Het was een bolwerk van opgehoogde aarde, open aan de achterzijde, dat bij de mobilisatie zou worden opgetrokken (het werd voltooid op 17 augustus 1914) met uitzicht op het dreigende Chadelle-bos. Fortress Longwy. 398 m/alt. Detached structure from the citadel, 350 m northwest of bastion 4. It was a redoubt of raised earth, open to the rear, to be erected upon mobilization (it was completed on August 17, 1914) facing the menacing Chadelle wood. See Longwy.

Pevnost Longwy. 398 m n. m. Samostatná stavba od citadely, 350 m severozápadně od bašty 4. Jednalo se o redutu z vyvýšené zeminy, otevřenou do zadní části, která měla být postavena po mobilizaci (dokončena 17. srpna 1914) s výhledem na hrozivý les Chadelle. Viz Longwy.
